Message from the Board Chair

It is an honor to serve as the Board Chair of the Royal Care Foundation, an organization whose mission to restore dignity, health, and well-being for women, girls, and communities resonates deeply with my calling.

As an African American female leader working alongside a Kenyan-based organization, I am committed to building bridges across borders, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring women and girls everywhere have access to quality, compassionate care.

My Commitments as Board Chair

  • Champion Holistic Wellness & Equity
Lead with intentional focus on mental, physical, and spiritual wellness for women and girls, ensuring RCF’s programs integrate emotional health and not just clinical care.

  • Elevate Women’s Health Initiatives
Advocate for the expansion of reproductive health, cancer screening, preventive care, and safe space programs tailored for women and girls. (RCF already has Women & Girls Empowerment, Reproductive Health, and Cancer screening programs)

  • Strengthen Governance, Strategy & Oversight
Provide strategic direction, review and refine board policies, monitor program impact, ensure accountability, and guide sustainable growth across Kenya and surrounding regions.

  • Serve as Liaison & Bridge Builder
Act as a cultural bridge and connector, bringing perspectives and networks from the U.S./global context into RCF, and helping RCF tell its story to international donors, partners, and supporters.

  • Raise Resources & Partnerships
Lead fundraising efforts, donor relationships, and grant proposals, particularly in the U.S. and global arena, to help scale RCF’s Mobile Hospital Bus, medical camps, and community health outreach. (RCF’s site shows “Mobile Hospital Bus Initiative” as a key project)

  • Promote Capacity Building & Training
Help develop internal staff capacity, leadership training, emotional wellness training, cultural sensitivity, and project management to ensure sustainability and local ownership.

  • Advocate for Safeguarding & Ethics
Prioritize strong child protection, ethical standards, and compliance in all health camps and outreach efforts, ensuring that every woman, girl, and child is served with dignity and safety.

  • Boost Visibility & Public Voice
Use your platform to elevate RCF’s mission, write articles, speak publicly, share stories, and advocate for women’s health equity in Kenya and globally.

  • Foster Community Feedback & Listening
Champion mechanisms for listening to communities, especially women, to ensure RCF’s work is responsive, culturally appropriate, and rooted in their real needs.

  • Model Emotional & Leadership Resilience
As an African American female leader, I will lead with vulnerability, emotional intelligence, and authenticity. Be a role model for how leaders navigate adversity, trust in God in uncertain times, and lead with their hearts.
